Bramble accidently picks up a comic book and is fascinated by it. He decides to be a cartoonist and tries to draw cartoons. However, his animal friends all regard the cartoons he draws as terrible. Bramble then goes to ask for Vick's opinion. Vick wants to get rid of him by saying something Bramble would like to hear, so he speaks highly of Bramble's cartoons and tells him to practice more. From then on, Bramble goes to Vick for his opinion every day. Finally Vick tells Bramble that his cartoons are not so good. Bramble is very sad and gives up his dream to be a cartoonist. Yet his cartoons reach an editor by accident and become very popular among kids.
